The Seiko Selection SBPY187 is an S Series solar chronograph with an all-black design, stainless-steel case and bracelet, and Seiko’s V175 solar quartz movement. It combines a black dial with a tachymeter bezel and practical everyday chronograph functions.
The 42.2 mm stainless-steel case features black hard coating and a sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating. The black dial includes LumiBrite hands and indexes, a date display, and a 24-hour sub-dial. The matching black-coated stainless-steel bracelet is secured by a push-button three-fold clasp.
The V175 movement provides approximately six months of power when fully charged, with average accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. Water resistance is rated at 10 bar, and the watch also includes JIS Type 1 magnetic resistance and a screw-down caseback.
