The Seiko Prospex Alpinist SBEJ005 is a mechanical GMT watch powered by Seiko’s Caliber 6R54 movement. It combines the Alpinist’s distinctive green-and-gold design with a 24-hour GMT hand, date display and approximately 72 hours of power reserve.
The green sunray dial features gold-colored markers, cathedral-style hands and LumiBrite detailing. Its stainless-steel case measures 39.5mm in diameter and includes DiaShield coating, a curved sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating, and a screw-down see-through caseback. The brown calfskin leather strap is secured by a three-fold clasp with push-button release.
The SBEJ005 also features an internal rotating compass ring operated by the additional crown at approximately 4 o’clock. With 20-bar water resistance, a 46.4mm lug-to-lug measurement and 20mm lug width, it offers a practical combination of Alpinist heritage and modern GMT functionality.
