The Seiko Prospex SBDC197 is a mechanical Diver Scuba watch from the 1965 Heritage series. It combines a compact 40 mm stainless-steel case with 300-metre air-diving water resistance, a curved sapphire crystal, and Seiko’s 6R55 automatic movement.
The black dial features a date display positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock, with LumiBrite applied to the hands, hour markers, and bezel. The movement supports automatic winding, manual winding, seconds-hand stopping, and approximately 72 hours of power reserve.
The watch is fitted with a stainless-steel bracelet featuring a one-push double-lock clasp and diver’s extender. Additional construction details include a DiaShield coating, screw-lock crown, screw-down caseback, and unidirectional rotating bezel.
