The Seiko Astron SBXC179 is an Astron Nexter GPS Solar dual-time chronograph with an all-black design. It features Seiko’s Caliber 5X83 movement, a pure titanium case and bracelet, and a horizontal-pattern black dial.
The case is finished with Super Black Diamond Shield coating and fitted with dual-curved sapphire crystal with Super-Clear Coating. Its functions include GPS time-zone correction, dual-time display, a 1/20-second chronograph, perpetual calendar, and world time across 38 time zones.
The SBXC179 has a 44.1 mm case width, 50.0 mm case length, and 14.4 mm thickness. Its titanium bracelet includes Seiko’s Smart Adjuster clasp, while LumiBrite hands and indexes assist legibility. The movement provides approximately six months of operation when fully charged.
