The Seiko Astron Origin SBXY029 is a slim solar radio-controlled quartz watch powered by Seiko’s Caliber 7B72. Inspired by the design of the original 1969 Quartz Astron, it combines a compact 39 mm titanium case with automatic time correction and a clean white-silver dial.
The case and bracelet are made from pure titanium with Seiko’s Diamond Shield coating.
The watch features a curved sapphire crystal with Super-Clear Coating, a textured dial, and a one-push three-fold clasp. Its radio-controlled system receives standard time signals from Japan, China, the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
The SBXY029 offers approximately nine months of operation when fully charged and approximately two years in power-save mode. Additional functions include a fully automatic calendar through December 31, 2099, time-difference adjustment, reception-result display, overcharge prevention, power saving, and automatic hand-position correction.
